Giovanni Pasini was born in Odolo, Brescia, in 1964. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology Engineering and a master’s degree in Economics and Management from the Milan Politecnico University. He started contributing to the family business by working first in the German subsidiary and later became a member of the board of directors of the parent company.
In Italy he holds office in various fields of activity, including energy resources optimisation, investment evaluation and implementation, corporate organisation, research and development, equity investments and the environment.
Position held within the Group
He currently holds the position of executive director of Feralpi Holding S.p.A., is a member of the board of directors of Feralpi Siderurgica S.p.A., chairman of Comeca S.p.A. (a group member company dealing with metal and structural steel working company), chairman of Nuova Defim S.p.A. (a subsidiary of Feralpi Siderurgica specialising in cold working processes), chairman of Feralpi Farm (a sub-holding managing some of Feralpi Group’s investments in non-steelmaking companies), and chairman of the Supervisory Board (Beirat) of E.S.F. Elbe Stahlwerke Feralpi GmbH. He has been the Sole Director and Chairman of Acciaierie di Calvisano S.p.A. since 1993 and for over ten years President of Agroittica Lombarda S.p.A., a fish-farming company that has been in operation for 40 years and is now the global leader in caviar production.
He is a member of the Executive Committee of AIE and the Long Products Association within Federacciai, the Italian Federation of Steel Industries, and Vice-President of the Metallurgical sector of AIB, the Brescian Industrialists’ Association.
He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Metal Interconnector S.c.p.A.
In November 2006 he received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in the Quality of Life category, jointly with his brother Giuseppe.
